IP on third party hardware? Download Current Hip Hop Songs. I'm rather reluctant to have the clunky Optus router powered up just for voice. I've managed to successfully extract the Vo. IP adapter but I'm unable to achieve successful registration. Has anyone here managed to get this to working? If so, did you have to do anything special to get it to work? O. P. http: //1. 92. User: admin. Pass: Y3s.

Then go to Managememt > System Info. It will download a file sysinfo. Vo. IP. Let me know if you manage to get the Vo.

IP working on your own hardware. I only signed up a couple of weeks ago – I only got the modem about two weeks ago. I have a spare VOIP ATA to test, but unfortunately the password doesn't work on my Optus router. Hardware: 2. 53. 55. ID: F@ST3. 86. 4V2.

EDIT: I have it working now (touch wood)Once you extract the password from the routers config (routerip/main. Base. 64 so you head over to https: //www. Ignore any funny characters that might appear at the end of the decoded password and your good to go. Some details I found online that helped.

Queensland)sip. 02. Victoria) sip. 01. NSW)For me (in NSW) if I use the DNS address for the SIP Proxy it wouldn't stay registered.

If I instead specified the IP from the config it would work fine - This is with a Fritz. Box 7. 39. 0. Inside that same config you can look for < Outbound. Proxy. Line> 2.

Outbound. Proxy. Line> to find the IP you should be using as the Proxy. So now we will see if it stays working over the next few days. Cheers. O. P. MAHDTech writes.. Base. 64. BOOM! I'm now registering with 3rd party hardware no problems at all. I've got it working perfectly with a softphone.

On my ATA (SPA3. 10. I can get incoming calls perfectly – outgoing calls are a bit strange (some work, some don't). I've had to do some tweaking of the settings to get it to this stage with the way NBN is handling Vo. IP packets, but I'll post here once I get it running perfectly incase someone else wants to do this in the future. MAHDtech. And annoyingly, it seems that they now encrypt or scramble the backupsettings. G3 data, byte- padded.

This crippleware is a real nasty piece of crap. It gives the option to forward ports, which I need so that I can access my home network from outside, but this option doesn't actually work, and none of those ports open up. Ok, here is how to get the admin password for the Optus NBN Sage. MCOM router, for those people like me whose router encrypts the backupsettings. Go to this url: http: //1.

This will dump out the router's entire config. Search for the Admin. Password tags: < Admin. Password> XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX< /Admin.

Password> The character string between those tags is the base. MAHDTech has pointed out.

Run that through https: //www. Paul 8. 88. 88 writes.. Optus NBN Sage. MCOM router. Cool. Getting the password works on mine : )If I don't want Optus to reconfigure my settings on this router, I'm assuming I should disable . I will list the setup I use for a Billion 7. VDPX. Only attempt this if you have setup SIP accounts before.

I had to connect the OPTUS modem to the NBN, just to allow it to fill out the SIP data. Use the above thread info to decrypt any passwords.

Under SERVICE PROVIDER I created a new VOIP provider and filled out as followed. SIP Domain Name(from optus modem). SIP Proxy (from optus modem). SIP Proxy Port 5. SIP Outbound Proxy(from optus modem).

SIP Outbound Proxy Port5. SIP Registrar (from optus modem). SIP Registrar Port 5. Under SIP ACCOUNT I created a new VOIP Account and filled out as followed.

Extension 0. Display Name 0. Username 0. Password I Decrypted the Password from between the < SIP> < /SIP> area. Authentication ID 6.

I set- up as per normal.. I would hate for them to somehow lock it up again.

O. P. visionaire, Optus could reconfigure your modem using TR- 0. You may want to disable it. Thanks again dylan, OK I will disable that.

Do you think there are any downsides of that though, i. Previously I was on TPG ADSL using a Fritz! Using the info here I have successfully connected it to the Optus siphone number I was given but have a big issue. I am unable to dial 1. I get a message to say that the number I have dialed is incorrect or incomplete. I have spoken the Optus tech support who assure me that there are no restrictions on my phone.

Having set up a siphone the hard way in the past I am aware that there may be a setting to always prefix a dialed number with my local prefix 0. I dial a different a different one.

Maybe I am missing something. Has anybody else had this problem? Any ideas would be much appreciated. John. John Dalstead writes.. I am unable to dial 1.

I believe that I have found the solution, Fritz settings . Telephony > Telephone Numbers > Line Settings set Area Code to blank. Johnhi guysanyone got this working with a siemens gigaset c.

IP rather than the sip Proxy. I have set it up for someone and have it working.

Rajdoot writes.. try setting it with the actual IP rather than the sip Proxy. I have set it up for someone and have it working. L2. TP Client vpnwhat im not wondering is if i just disable the nat on the Internet- BNG connection will the wireless router behind it just connect as if the it where connected directly to the ntd and at the same time as the voip is a separate connection it would just still work as normal on the sagemcom as that would be the best way to go if it works. Now to try to work out how to set up port forwarding..

Did anyone ever get port- forwarding to work. Thanks to this posts I got the admin password and can now log on and change the default passwords. But still no luck in forwarding the ports... But I can't test it from within the network, even when using the external IP it does not work, testing it via the mobile phone connection works. Thanks! dulli writes..

But I can't test it from within the networkok so that suggest it doesnt have nat loopback which hardly surprises mebut if you go have a look athttp: //1. User: admin. Pass: Y3s. Got my opts modem today – however my install isnt due until 3/7. Plugged it in and logged in as Admin with the Y3s. Got the sys file – however obviously the router needs to be connected to populate this info.

So optus have told me I can do my own NBN install and are sending out the modem. Anyone else been so lucky ? Anything I need to do to get it activated once I hook it up? Guess it will give me a chance to crack open the admin. I don't move in until next week.

However, I did have an issue where I needed to call Optus because I could get an IP address but had no data flow. Apparently their system hadn't activated my account properly but it was fixed pretty quickly over the phone.

Factory reset it and the default one worked, changed the admin password and connected the router. It changed the admin password to one of theirs so used the instructions above and got back into it.
